Tonight, when you watch the Tony Awards 2022 online, the bright lights of Broadway will be shining through whatever screen you stream it through. The theater industry is convening once again to honor the year's best musicals, plays and performers. The 75th Tony Awards will see four hours of showstopping performances from the legendary Radio City Music Hall in New York City.


The two-part broadcast kicks off with the first hour, "Act One," hosted by Darren Criss and Julianne Hough and streaming exclusively live on Paramount Plus.


Following that is the main ceremony of the the 75th annual Tony Awards, hosted by Oscar-winning West Side Story star Ariana DeBose. For the first time ever, the Tonys are airing live coast to coast.


The show will feature performances by this year's nominated musicals, including “A Strange Loop,” “Company,” “Girl from the North Country,” “MJ,” “Mr. Saturday Night,” “Music Man,” “Paradise Square” and “SIX.”


Also taking the stage to help celebrate the significant anniversary will be Tony Award winners Bernadette Peters, Billy Porter, the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus, and the original cast members of the 2007 Tony Award-winning musical “Spring Awakening.”

CBS will air the 75th Annual Tony Awards, live from Radio City Music Hall, on Sunday, June 12 at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET. This year’s vibrant event, which will honor Broadway’s 2021/2022 productions after a touch-and-go season of pandemic uncertainty, will be hosted by Oscar Winner and West Side Story actress Ariana DeBose.


This year’s Tony Awards will feature a lively variation of inspiring song and dance performances from the nominated Broadway casts of A Strange Loop, Company, Girl From the North Country, The Music Man, Paradise Square, and Six, and others. Actress Bernadette Peters, Cinderella’s Billy Porter, the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus, and the original 2006 cast of Spring Awakening will also perform throughout the event. The Tonys will air live from Radio City Music Hall at 8 p.m. E.T. on Sunday, June 12, preceded by a special pre-show on Paramount+—The Tony Awards: Act One, hosted by Darren Criss and Julianne Hough*—*at 7 p.m.


The casts of all six of the shows up for best musical this year—Girl from the North Country, MJ, Mr. Saturday Night, Paradise Square, Six, and A Strange Loop—will perform; as will two of the three shows up for best revival of a musical: Company and The Music Man. How to Watch The 75th Annual Tony Awards This Sunday On TV, Streaming & On Demand


Emmy Award-winners Darren Criss and Julianne Hough will co-host The Tony Awards: Act One at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT, an hour of exclusive content streaming live only on Paramount+ beginning 60 minutes prior to the live broadcast of the Tony Awards ceremony on CBS. Criss and Hough will kick off the evening celebrating the 2022 Tony Awards, bestowing multiple honors and introducing special performances throughout Act One.


Immediately following, Academy Award winner and Tony-nominee Ariana DeBose will host The 75th Annual Tony Awards, airing live coast-to-coast from Radio City Music Hall in New York on the CBS, and streaming live and on demand on Paramount+, beginning at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

Following an 18-month hiatus and a September ceremony last year, theatre will be celebrating this past 2021–2022 season with the 75th Annual Tony Awards in its customary June time slot. Following last year's two-part broadcast shared by CBS and Paramount+, the 2022 Tony Awards will include an hour of exclusive programming streaming on Paramount+, followed by the awards ceremony broadcasting live on on CBS and simultaneously streaming on Paramount+, making this year's ceremony the first in Tony Awards history to be available live nationwide.
